I am happy to announce our new after party location at PUBLIC BAR - a new bar located at 1214B 18th Street NW (the old Five location). Rail drinks on the house until midnight for all Couture for a Cure guests! Be sure to buy your tickets today.

This is Ladies Night....and the Feelings Right!

Calling all ladies! On May 9th, DC United and Hot 99.5 will be hosting its first ever Ladies Night from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Come out and enjoy a variety of fun activities. The event is only $35 and includes a ticket to the game, entry to the Ladies Night party at 6 PM, a tote bag, and food and drinks. Purchase your ticket now! If you already have a ticket to the game you can upgrade it for only $15 to access ladies night.

To help collect donations for the campaign, I will be there along with other DC United wives and girlfriends offering up some fun entertainment provided by The P Spot® Fitness Studio. Be sure to swing by and have a dance with us! Trust me, you won't want to miss it.

Hot Off the Press!

With Couture for a Cure only two weeks away things have been incredibly busy for me. Lucky for me I'd rather be busy than bored!

I wanted to share with you all the wonderful press we have been getting so far. Perhaps Couture for a Cure will have to be an annual event?! Thank you to everyone who has helped get the word out. You all have been so fantastic!

DC United Viewing Party a Success!

Wow - what a week! On Thursday we attended the 30-Day Countdown Celebration hosted by America's Polo Cup, presenting sponsor of Couture for a Cure. Boy do they know how to put on a grand party! We started off at the Australian Embassy with sneak peek of what to expect at the main event on May 8th and 9th. If you haven't bought tickets, do so NOW - it's going to be amazing! After that we headed off to the Beacon Hotel for a fun filled night. Thank you to the wonderful hosts Tareq and Michaele Salahi - you two are amazing!

To the Nth Degree hosted its first fundraising event and it was a HUGE success! Thank you to the amazing staff of Eighteenth and Red, the Screaming Eagles, and the Barra Brava. While I wish DC United had better luck, I know Friday's game will bring a better outcome...knock on wood! If you couldn't make it this past weekend to the event, no worries - we're hosting another one on April 26th at 3:00 pm. Come watch the game and enjoy good food with great company. Oh, and you can't beat the drink prices - $2 drafts/$3 rail drinks!

In the News

First, thanks to the wonderful DC sports bloggers Dan Steinberg and Steven Goff. Both featured the campaign in their daily blogs. In case you haven't read it you can read Dan's piece here and Steven's here.

We'll see YOU at the DC United viewing parties at 18th and Red or Molly Malone's this Saturday. I plan on being at both! GO DC UNITED!

Mission Moment

I wanted to share another video with you telling Alessandro and Megan's heroic story. This really puts into perspective what this campaign is all about. It's about finding a cure so children like Alessandro and Megan don't have to go through such a thing. My heart goes out to the families who have been through this. Yes, we will one day find a cure.

Great Fans...Great Game

What a busy weekend!  Saturday brought a victorious DC United game against the Houston Dynamo where the one and only Bryan Namoff had a beautiful assist. Maybe it has something to do with my infamous pre-game meals!  Before the game my mom, my aunt, my cousin, and I went around the Screaming Eagles and Barra Brava tailgates to promote the DC United Viewing Party this weekend at Eighteenth and Red. You guys are all so wonderful and welcoming.  United truly has the best fans.

Sunday was the Cherry Blossom Ten Miler and I FINISHED in 1:36! Bryan and my mom were there to greet me at the finish line.  It really was an emotional experience having everyone cheering you on at the last stretch screaming "KEEP GOING! YOU CAN DO IT!"  Thank goodness for Britney Spears.  Her tunes definitely helped me out.  Next is the half marathon.  Any volunteers to train with me???
